MAMA Sample Show Schedule and Judging Order
All shows will have similar
schedules. Exact times listed are approximate and may vary from show
to show. Individual Show Schedules will be sent to members and posted
on the Facebook and webpage.
Single Show Schedule - A
single show consists of one regular show and one pet show.
Occasionally single shows may start in the afternoon as opposed to
the early morning. However this is a general guideline for any single
show, regardless of start time. Show length is about 4 - 5 hours
depending on location.
- 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM -
Set-up - Anyone volunteering to help with the show needs to arrive
at this time.
- 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM -
Health check/Check in and registration - If you know your mouse is
going to be on the table early, arrive earlier. If you are selling
animals, show up early so that you can get your table set up before
the show starts. No mice will be allowed in after 10:00 AM.
- 9:30 AM - Regular Show
Class starts - You must be on time for the start of your class, if
you know your mouse is entered in a class that is judged early in
the show, you need to arrive as soon as the show opens to have your
mice health-checked and checked in or to fill out day-of entries.
- 10:00 AM - Pet Show
Class starts - Pet Shows are judged by a different judge than the
regular show classes.
- 11:00 AM - Junior
Showmanship starts - judge begins judging the Junior Showmanship
class. 12:00 Noon - Show Ends - The shows wrap up, and the winners
are announced and awarded their prizes. Any raffles, drawings, or
other contests will have their winners announced at this time. No
lunch break at single shows. Although members may make arrangements
to all have lunch together after the show is over.
- 12:00 Noon - 1:00 PM -
Clean up and Breakdown - Any members who can help clean up are asked
to stay and help.
Dual Show Schedule - a dual
show consists of two regular shows and one pet show. Two full regular
shows will be judged by two different judges and each member can
enter 15 different animals per show. Show length is about 8-10 hours
depending on location.

Showmanship starts - judge begins judging the Junior Showmanship
class. 12:00 Noon - 1:00 PM - Lunch Break - At some shows, lunch may
be provided, see individual show information to know if you should
pack or plan to go out for lunch. You may pack a lunch or go out to
lunch, however, no mice may leave and re-enter the building; if you
leave your mice and belongings at the show while you step out to
eat, you do so at your own risk. 1:00 PM- First Show and Juniors
Winners Announced - At this time the Best In Show Winner of the
first show and the Best Junior will be announced and prizes will be
awarded.
- 1:15 PM - Second
Regular Show Class starts - You must be on time for the start of
your class, if you know your mouse is entered in a class that is
judged early in the show, make sure you make it back from lunch on
time. The second show will be judged by a different judge.
- 3:00 PM - Pet Show
Class starts - Pet Shows are judged by a different judge than the
regular show classes.
- 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM -
Second Show and Pet Show Winners Announced - At this time the
winners of the second regular show and the pet classes will be
announced and prizes will be awarded. Any raffles, drawings, or
other contests will have their winners announced at this time.
- 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM -
Clean up and Breakdown - Any members who can help clean up are asked
to stay and help.
Regular Class Judging Order
- Regular Classes win points towards titles. This is the order in
which each Section is shown.
The classes are broken down
by section and variety.
Class winners go on to
compete for Section Winner (Best Self Standard, Best Marked Satin,
etc.), Section Winners go on to compete for Best of Variety (i.e.
Best Standard, Best Satin, etc.), and Variety Winners go on to
compete for Best in Show.
Pet Class Judging Order - Pet classes do not win points towards titles. They are merely for fun. This is a comprehensive listing of the order in which classes are called to the judging table, at a show please keep in mind that there may not be entries in a class before yours, so be prepared to show up to the table early.
Most Unique Markings - For the marked mouse with the most unique pattern or marking.
Most Inquisitive - For the mouse with the most curious nature.
Cutest - For the mouse with the cutest overall appearance.
Friendliest - For the mouse with the best personality.
Best Pet - For the best overall pet in the show.
Bred By - This section is for mice being exhibited by their breeder. All mice are judged together, regardless of coat type, color, etc. Winner of this section competes against mice of the same variety for Variety Winner.
Kitten - This is for mice under the age of 8 weeks. All mice are judged together, regardless of coat type, color, etc. Winner of this section competes against mice of the same variety for Variety Winner.

Standard - All Standard Coated mice compete according to the following Sections, and are shown by their class: Self – Beige, Black, Blue, Champagne , Chocolate, Coffee, Cream, Dove, Fawn, Ivory, Lavender, Lilac, Red, Silver, White.
Marked - Broken, Even, Variegated, Banded, Tri Color, Marked Tans, Marked Merle Tan/Fox - Self Tan, Ticked Tan, Self Fox, AOV Tan/Fox, Dutch, Hereford, Pied, Rump White.
Ticked - Agouti, Argente, Argente Cream, Blue Agouti, Chinchilla, Cinnamon, Blue Cinnamon, Cinnamon Argente, Pearl, Silver Black, Silver Blue, Silver Chocolate, Silver Gray:
Pointed - BP Siamese, Siamese, Burmese, Himalayan, BP Himalayan, CP Beige
AOCP - Brindle, Roan, Merle, Roan, Splashed, Marten Sable, Reversed Siamese
Satin - All Satin Coated mice compete according to the same Sections as Standard mice, and are shown by their class.
Longhair - All Longhair Coated mice compete according to the same Sections as Standard mice, and are shown by their class.

Rosette – All rosette/aby coated mice compete against each other under variety, regardless of markings or color.

Fuzzy/Fuzzy Hairless - All Fuzzy Coated mice compete against each other under variety, regardless of markings or color.
Hairless - All Hairless mice compete against each other under variety, regardless of markings or color.
Rosette – All rosette/aby coated mice compete against each other under variety, regardless of markings or color.
Junior Showmanship - For members under the age of sixteen (16). All mice entered in the Junior Showmanship are shown under Sections instead of variety. All mice are entered into their designated section, regardless of coat type. Points are awarded for Class winners, Section winners, as well as Best Junior Exhibitor (BJE). Points won during this show are counted towards the junior exhibitor, not the mouse being shown. This type of show tests to see how knowledgeable the junior is when selecting a mouse to be shown.
