Banded
Banded mice may be shown in any recognized color. The distinctive feature is the white band around the body to occupy ¼ the length of the body positioned at the third quarter of body length from head, excluding tail. Sharpness of demarcation line of prime importance.

Broken Marked mice may be shown in any recognized color. They have as many colored spots or patches as possible on a white background, even in size, sharply defined, and distributed irregularly all over the body to create a pattern that is pleasing to the eye. A face patch and opposite ear patch are strongly desired. Rump patches should be halved or minimal.

Broken, Brindled
Broken Brindle is a white mouse with patches of brindled fawn or red in its coat. The mouse should be even in white and brindled patches. The patches of brindling should be large enough so that the pattern of the stripes is evident. The stripes should be clean and not sooty in appearance. Eye color to match the color of the stripes. The mouse should have good balance and the pattern should be pleasing to the eye.

Broken colored merles are a white mouse with roan and solid patches added to give areas of pure roan, dark patches, and white patches. The different patched areas to show balance between the three different “colors”. Eye color to match base color.

Broken, Splashed
Broken Splashed mice are to have, at least, three distinct colors of patches, one color being white. The three colors should be even. Unlike the appearance of the splashes on a normal splashed mouse, the splashes should pool together with the white to form patches or spots of color. The mouse should have good balance and the pattern should be pleasing to the eye.

Calico
Broken Multis may be shown in any recognized color, and may include Broken Splashed, Variegated Splashed, Broken Sable, Broken Brindle, Variegated Brindle, etc. To have two or more colors plus white in patches or spots to resemble a “Calico.” Color patches/spots should be clear-cut, showing no brindling or intermingling of white hairs. There should be equal numbers of the different colored patches/spots.

Dutch
Dutch marked mice may be shown in any recognized color. Markings will be similar to that of Dutch rabbits. The front end of the body should be white, except the cheeks which should have a patch on each side of the head. Cheek patches should include the ears, upper jaw, and area immediately in front of the eyes. Cheek markings should be well rounded and balanced. They should not extend to the whiskers. Cheek marking should not touch and there should be a wedge shaped blaze that runs from muzzle to between the ears. The marking on the rear end of the body should be solid colored and extend well onto the tail base. All lines between color and white are to be as smooth as possible.

Even Marked
Even marked mice may be shown in any recognized color. They should be of any uniform pattern other than Dutch markings, and should have as many clear-cut and balanced spots as possible, without causing chaos to the pattern. Ideally the mouse should have a facecovering
patch and a full rump patch. All spots on the body should be of equal size and line up evenly.

Hereford
Hereford mice may be shown in any recognized color. The face is to be white, extending to a V shape that ends just beyond the ears. The white should go under the chin but not extend down the throat. Lines between white and body color should be as smooth and clean as possible. Ears and tail should match the body color, with the latter half of the tail being white. The underside should have uniform white marking starting between the front legs and ending at the vent. The white should not extend up the sides of the body or down the legs. The feet shall be white. White areas should be pure and devoid of any color and any additional white markings in the coat is to be considered a fault.

Pied (piebald)
Piebald mice may be shown in any recognized color. White markings should not resemble those of any other recognized pattern such as dutch, banded, or even marked. Markings should have clean edges without variegation. The balance of color and white should be equal and pleasing to the eye.

Rump White
Rump White may be shown in any recognized color. The lower third of the mouse, including the hind feet and tail, is to be white. The remaining two thirds is to have no white and conform to the standards that are already in place for the variety. The line of demarcation is to be crisp with no variegation in color. The overall look should be that the lower 1/3 of the mouse looks as if it has been dipped in white paint.

Spotted Tan (Marked Tan)
Spotted Tans may be shown in any recognized color, and may include Banded, Broken Marked, Broken Merle, Even Marked, and Variegated. Where the spotting pattern runs into the stomach, the color should be a rich golden-red tan. Color patches should be clear-cut, showing no brindling or intermingling of white hairs. Preferably, several colored spots should be low on the body, to show as much contrast as possible with the top color and the tanning.

Tri-Color
Tri-Color may be shown in any recognized color, and may include; traditional (aka broken splashed), Broken Variegated, Broken Sable, etc. Two or more colors should be exhibited plus white patches or spots and resemble a “Calico”. Color patches/spots should have clean crisp definition without being muddied or smudged in appearance. Broken Brindle will not fall into this class. Eye color to match base color.
